If your iPaq won't sync and you've tried all of the software fixes (hard and/or soft reset), the problem is probably in your switch board. This drop-in pcb board includes the joypad buttons (but not the joypad itself), launch button pads (but not the buttons themselves), on/off battery power switch and sync connector.

This tool is all that is needed to completely disassemble and reassemble any model of iPaq (except the 19xx or 4xxx). You can make a trip to Sears or any major hardware store in search of the special tools you need or order this one tool here.
