The process couldn't be easier. If you aren't exactly sure what is wrong with your iPod, simply create a diagnostic work order and send it in for one of our iPod repair techs to take a look. There is never a diagnostic fee - if the repair ends up being more than you want to spend, you only owe us for return shipping.

iPod 1500mAh Replacement Internal Battery Kit - Contrary to popular belief... you do not need to be some sort of Apple Certified iPod Guru to replace the internal battery on your iPod to restore the battery life you once knew. This 1500mAh battery is the perfect replacement to get your "classic" iPod back in shape (this battery is not designed for the just-released iPods with the firewire port on the bottom, but works with all of the older pods).

The Do-It-Yourself kit (favorably reviewed by Popular Science Magazine and Tech TV Screensavers) comes complete with very detailed instructions and all the right tools to do the job without damaging your iPod (please don't pry open that case with a flat-tipped screwdriver!). We had this battery developed with the same lithium-ion polymer battery technology as the original and it is rated at 3.7 volts and 1500mAh.

iPod 1st/2nd Generation Audio Jack Repair - Is the audio port / headphone jack of your 1st or 2nd generation iPod only working out of one channel or the other? Are the plastics cracked or broken and your headphones held in place with duct tape? Open a repair order and let our qualified technicians repair or replace your connector to get you back in stereo!

While most audio jacks can be repaired for the service charge stated, some units with loose or broken audio jacks actually have damage to the mainboard itself (torn or missing solder pads) and the charge for repairing these damaged pads or replacing the mainboard if necessary will be a little more. iPod 1st/2nd Generation Audio Jack (part only) - This is an OEM replacement audio jack for the 1st and 2nd Generation iPod. While most audio jacks can be repaired by simply replacing this soldered-on part, some units with loose or broken audio jacks actually have damage to the mainboard itself (torn or missing solder pads) and the process of repairing these solder pads on the mainboard will fall outside the scope of a "do-it-yourself" repair.

This part is sold without tools or instructions. If you are not familiar with the practice of removing and replacing components on printed circuit boards, please keep in mind that the possibility for inflicting more damage than already exists is significant. ipod iPod FireWire Port Repair
iPod FireWire Port Repair - The first and second generation iPods with the firewire port in the top of the unit have one major flaw. There is no strain relief on the firewire port attached to the mainboard. The act of just inserting and removing the firewire cable stresses the 6 connections to the mainboard every time you do it. Over time, the solder joints that keep the port connected to the iPod's board providing signal and power between your iPod and the host or charger, are broken causing a failure.

If your iPod will not charge or if your computer cannot "see" your iPod anymore and you've tried all of the normal troubleshooting steps, it is probably due to a damaged firewire port. Very rarely can this damage be seen from the outside of the unit and there's no need to give Apple $200+ for the same repair.
