iPod 1st/2nd Generation Audio Jack (part only)-
This is an OEM replacement audio jack for the 1st and 2nd Generation iPod. While most audio jacks can be repaired by simply replacing this soldered-on part, some units with loose or broken audio jacks actually have damage to the mainboard itself (torn or missing solder pads) and the process of repairing these solder pads on the mainboard will fall outside the scope of a "do-it-yourself" repair. This part is sold without tools or instructions. If you are not familiar with the practice of removing and replacing components on printed circuit boards, please keep in mind that the possibility for inflicting more damage than already exists is significant. We suggest ordering the full-service repair rather than attempting the repair yourself. We do not charge a diagnostic fee and you will incur no expense without your approval.
